Did I Notice Your Book? – Mystery genre

Not long ago I was cruising around Goodreads and Amazon for a freebie to read. As many of you know Ciara is FAMOUS for finding the most interesting, intriguing and unique books, which doesn’t do much for the wallet. So, I was looking for something cheap, sorry free. Well, I did find one book but the cover just didn’t work for me so I searched for others by the author, Pete Morin. That’s when Diary of a Small Fish popped up. Now that was not only an interesting title but the cover was something that really caught my eye.

After reading the blurb, see below the cover art, I knew this would be the perfect book for this adventure in discovery. A self-published book with a big house cover. Even the blurb sounds like a big publisher book.

So good luck Pete, I hope you find the book on my blog.

Blurb for Diary of a Small Fish

When Paul Forte is indicted by a federal grand jury, everyone suspects prosecutor Bernard (don’t call him ‘Bernie’) Kilroy has more on his mind than justice. Then the FBI agent in charge of Paul’s case gives him a clue to the mystery: Kilroy is bent on settling an old family score, and he’s not above breaking the law to do it.

Paul is already dealing with the death of his parents and divorce from a woman he still loves. Now, with the support of an alluring grand juror, Paul must expose the vindictive prosecutor’s own corruption before the jury renders a verdict on his Osso Buco.

I’ve yet to figure out how to get anyone on Goodreads to notice me – unless I resort to the anti-social antics.

      Too funny, Sue!

[note: the real Bernie Kilroy is a fine Cape Cod lawyer who trained me in 1981, and more importantly, shepherded my entry into the Hyannisport Club (at the time for the princely sum of $250)]

Anita, beware – there are two Christmas episodes in it, and they’re pretty melancholy.
